WORKSHOP VIDEOS

The RMRIUG is experimenting with providing videotapes and web-streamed versions of selected workshops as a new way of providing educational opportunities throughout the Rocky Mountain region. As with our in-person events, these workshops are intended only for those libraries in the Rocky Mountain region that have contracted with Innovative Interfaces, Inc. products and services.

All of the sessions at the RMRIUG Summer 2002 workshop (presented July 12, 2002 in Loveland, Colorado) were videotaped and are now available for libraries in the region to use.

TIPS FOR USING RMRIUG WORKSHOPS AT YOUR LIBRARY

Distance is a problem in our region. The RMRIUG Planning Committee hopes that you'll be able to integrate our video or online workshops into your local training routines. Each of the sessions was designed so that it could be used in conjunction with the other sessions or on a standalone basis. You might want to try holding a training retreat with time for questions and answers after each video segment. Or try using one of the 20-minutes segments in a regular staff meeting as a continuing education component. You could also partner with another Innovative library in your area and hold 'birds of a feather' sessions in addition to viewing the videotape or streaming video. PowerPoint slides and handouts for each session are available here. You might want to open the handouts and/or slides (from the TRAINING page) in one window on your computer while watching the streaming video.

After using either the videotaped or web streamed sessions, we would appreciate your feedback. An evaluation form is located here. Please fill it out and send back to the appropriate person to help us develop future training sessions.
