- This session is an introduction to the mechanics and implementation of Innovative's
newest tool for enhancing acquisitions efficiency: Inventory Express. The Arapahoe
Library District has been working with III as a development partner for this new
product for approximately six months. Inventory Express combines the pre-order search,
record creation, and vendor selection into one single operation using Web services
technology. Ordering is accomplished directly from Millennium, streamlining the workflow process.
- 11:15 - 12 noon Logins and Authorizations in Release 2005

- At long last - a Millennium toy for system administrators! This session will preview
the ability to create and modify system logins and authorizations (initials) which is new
in Release 2005. The session will include a review of authentication and authorization in
Millennium, demonstrate how these functions work in Release 2005, and discuss enhancement
ideas. Time will be allowed for discussion of system management strategies. Even if you
aren't a system administrator, this session will help you understand some basic system infrastructure.

This session will consist of moderated small group discussions based on the following
Innovative functional modules: Cataloging, Circulation, OPAC, Serials/Acquisition,
and Systems. Please indicate the session you are interested in on the registration form.

- Moderator: Craig McWhirter, University of Northern Colorado
- Panelists: Jennifer Kutzik, Colorado State University;
Jeff Kuntzman, UCDHSC Denison Memorial Library; Carol Gyger, Fort Collins Public Library.
- This panel will explore the applications of Web Access Management (WAM) in a variety
of libraries. Craig will present a brief overview of the basics of proxy rewrite and WAM.
Jennifer will discuss sending selected users versus all users through WAM and the use of SFX with WAM.
Jeff will focus upon a problem involving proxy rewrite and Windows networks. Carol will
describe remote patron authentication in a public library setting.
