Innovative’s web-based manual is the most current documentation available for your system, but there are some other important web resources that you can use to locate more current or user-developed information.

CSDirect

csdirect.iii.com

CSDirect is Innovative’s online customer service facility.  The service has two levels:  one for system administrators and one for end users.  Check with your system administrator for the login and password.  (NOTE:  Never share this login or password with other libraries or electronically.  Innovative considers CSDirect confidential information.)

Use CSDirect to locate the following information:

            FAQs

Technical tips to help you resolve issues as quickly and easily as possible.  The FAQ section is organized by system module.

            Documentation

Online Manuals (Release 2001 manual and Getting Started Manual)

Product Catalog (descriptions of products available to current customers)

Training Materials (handouts containing instructions for module set-up, system maintenance, and suggestions for system operation. Included are handouts from basic and advanced training sessions.)

Tutorials

These tutorials can help you to learn more about a particular product or feature. Designed for both novice and experienced users, the tutorials can quickly introduce you to a product or help you learn it better.  Tutorials work with IE and Netscape (ver 4.0 and later).  Topics include using Innovative manuals, using Millennium applications, Web Access Management, and others.

            Innovative E-Mail

An archive of messages sent to systems coordinators via the Innovative E-Mail service.

            Users Groups

A listing of Innovative users groups world-wide.

            Presentations

A collection of PowerPoint presentations given by Innovative at a variety of library conferences and meetings

** System administrators can also use CSDirect to download software and open calls with the Innovative Help Desk.

Innovative Interfaces Corporate Website

www.iii.com

This is pretty much what you’d expect – a marketing tool.  Nevertheless, the site can be useful to find things like press releases or new product blurbs.  You can also search for Innovative customers worldwide using criteria such as location, new customers, or the system a customer migrated from.

Innovative Users Group (IUG) Website

www.innopacusers.org

The IUG (celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year) is the international users group for Innovative customers.  The IUG prides itself on being a grassroots organization that operates separately but in collaboration with Innovative.

            Use the IUG website to:

Get information about the organization including its annual conference

View the proceedings from past IUG conferences

Learn about the IUG Enhancements Process

                        Subscribe to the innopac listserv

                        Search the innopac listserv archives

Read the IUG FAQ (topics include the WAM Proxy Server Knowledge base)

                        Search for IUG member libraries

Rocky Mountain Regional Innovative Users Group (RMRIUG) Website

library.fortlewis.edu/~rmriug/

The RMRIUG provides free or low-cost training to Innovative libraries in the Rocky Mountain region.

Look to the RMRIUG website for the following:

Announcements and registration for RMRIUG events

                        Training handouts from RMRIUG workshops

                        Links to regional libraries

Links to training materials prepared by other regional groups
