Have you ever tried to place a hold on a book? How about with your eyes closed using a screen reader? What if you were not able to use a mouse? How would you search for an item if you had dyslexia or were cognitively impaired? As the WebOPAC becomes more sophisticated libraries need to insure that accessibility standards are followed and that the disabled are not being left behind. This session will explore everyday problems people with disabilities encounter on the Web and steps libraries can take to make their catalogs more accessible for everyone.
